The Cottages on Mountain Creek, LLC (“The Cottages”) is a psychiatric rehabilitation facility that offers programs designed for individuals 18 and older. The Cottages, together with Creekside Services, LLC  (“Creekside”), is located in a protected residential community setting off Mountain Creek Road in Sandy Springs, Georgia. The campus is located just outside the perimeter, within walking distance of Roswell Road.

Our evidence based programs include Life Skills Management and Rehabilitation Programs providing our residents with the tools needed to move toward stabilization, recovery and ultimately back to either a supportive independent living and/or independent living setting.

A rehabilitation approach has been shown to decrease psychotic episodes (relapses) and hospitalization, reduce symptom of distress, and result in more consistent medication use. All “Cottage” staff members are trained to work with people to “develop personalized strategies for managing mental illness and achieving personal goals.”

Our recommended four to 12 month program is designed for people who have experienced the symptoms of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder, borderline personality disorder, anxiety disorders, dual diagnosis and major depression.

The length of stay within any of our campus facilities will vary according to an individual’s needs, and individual’s severity of symptoms and an individual’s response to treatment programming which will determine the total length of stay and cost of the program.

The Cottages is affiliated with and/or members of NAMI Northside, Clark Behavioral Health Financial, MATN, NASW and GMHCN.  The Cottages is licensed by the State of Georgia as a Personal Care Home. Both The Cottages and Creekside are Preliminary Accredited by the Joint Commission on Healthcare.

SERVICES

All interventions are therapeutic and respectful with independent recommendations based on our residents’ unique needs. Our programming includes, but is not limited to, the following:

• Psychiatric Services and Medical Doctors;
• License Pharmacist (Drug Regimen Review & Assessment);
• Licensed Clinical & Masters Degree Administrative Staff;
• Case Management and Life Skills Training; and
• (Money Management, Computer Skill Training, Structured Psychiatric Rehabilitation Groups and Community & Social Skills Integration and Employment Search opportunities).

Supportive Therapies include:

Organic Gardening; Culinary Therapy; Music Therapy; Hypnotherapy; Acupuncture; Art Therapy; Yoga; Massage; Equine Therapy; and Fitness).

Supportive Employment Opportunities include The Cottages Organic Gardening and The Cottages on-site Lavender Garden.

Family Wellness Center

Creekside Services includes: Family Support Meetings; Culinary Classes; Yoga Classes; Art Classes; Mediation and Massage Services. Weekend Retreats are also available at The Cottages at Hiawassee (North Georgia Mountains).
