Skyland Trail is a nationally recognized psychiatric facility providing treatment for adults with mental illness. Our philosophy of care focuses on client-centered recovery and wellness. Engagement of clients in their recovery is a key component to our model of care. Our recovery philosophy is comprehensive and integrates physical, spiritual, and mental health with activities in the community. Ultimate treatment goals include:  improved overall functioning, acquisition of new skills, enhanced socialization capabilities, and community reintegration.

Skyland Trail has five “Recovery Communities”/Team Tracks:  Each community is a primary support system of 10 to 15 clients, with a Primary Counselor who is a specialist in their recovery modality. Communities are founded on evidenced-based practices. Our recovery communities are:

• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
• Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
• Dual Diagnosis
• Young Adult
• Social Integration

Our Admissions Center is available Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. EST to respond promptly to inquiries. We provide assistance in obtaining effective and accessible treatment services as well as consultation regarding financial options. Skyland Trail accepts self-pay and third party payment. We also offer Financial Aid to families demonstrating a financial need.

Skyland Trail is the recipient of the American Psychiatric Association’s pinnacle Gold Achievement Award recognizing innovation and excellence in treatment and its community support. Additionally, all of our programs are accredited by The Joint Commission, reflecting our successful efforts to provide high quality care to our clients.
